Do I need any riding experience?List Item 1
None at all. The Basic Rider Course is built for first-time riders. Most students have never ridden before, and many have never used a manual clutch. We start at the very beginning.

Do I need my own motorcycle?List Item 2
No. We provide the motorcycle for the entire course. Just show up with your gear.

Do I really skip the DMV road test?List Item 3
Yes. Completing the course satisfies Virginia's skills-test requirement for the M2 license, so there's no separate road test at the DMV.

What should I wear and bring?List Item 4
Long pants, a long-sleeve shirt or jacket, over-the-ankle boots, full-finger gloves, sunglasses, and water. If you have a DOT-approved helmet, bring it. Otherwise, let us know when you book.

What if it rains?
Courses generally run rain or shine, since riding in light weather is part of learning. If conditions become unsafe, we'll contact you about rescheduling.

How much does it cost?
$369 for the full 2-day course: motorcycle, MSF curriculum, certified instruction, small-class coaching, and the DMV road-test waiver all included.
